The Reset

A two-day, two-hour guided skill-building workshop for those feeling overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or needing clarity on how to move forward.

“Sometimes the shift you need begins by pausing long enough to see the situation differently.”

- Dana Washington

The Intention Behind The Reset

• create space to pause and step out of repeating cycles
• examine situations from different angles
• shift from automatic reactions to intentional responses
• replace familiar habits with practical skills
• seasonal themes guide the Reset, with monthly topics reflecting real-life situations

Inside The Reset

• settle in with a brief mindfulness exercise
• learn skills connected to the monthly topic
• practice the skills through guided scenarios
• apply the skills to a situation you brought with you
• leave with greater clarity and skills you can continue using beyond the experience

The reset draws from cognitive-behavioral principles and mindfulness-based practices, translating these ideas into practical tools that help participants examine perspective, interrupt patterns of overthinking, and respond more intentionally.

How to Present Medical Concerns to Providers

If you’ve ever left a medical appointment feeling unheard, rushed, or unsure of what to say—or you’re trying to speak up for someone you care about and don’t know how to get it across—this space is for you.

This workshop helps slow things down and bring clarity to what’s been happening in the body so it can be communicated in a way that actually lands. The focus includes noticing sensations, separating body and mind, naming symptoms, and organizing what matters most before the appointment even starts.

There’s also space to practice how to communicate with providers in a way that translates—being specific, asking questions, redirecting when things feel rushed, and staying grounded while advocating in the moment.

This is a virtual, two-hour workshop focused on doing, not just thinking. Real-life situations are worked through so it feels usable when it matters.

You’ll have something structured to bring into your next appointment, whether speaking for yourself or supporting someone else, so you’re not trying to figure it out on the spot.
